You find yourself when reading this text with its depth of the historical as well as scientific analysis realizing that you can easily miss the use of these two inflammatory words and their deriviatives as they have normally become used in other texts on this subject. Dr. Harrub outlines very succinctly in the foreword the specific objectives to be addressed within their book. The authors' analyses do not deviate from their driven objectives to provide an unbiased treatment of the truths about the uniqueness of our human origin. If you are just interested in a short read (although it will probably not be quick) you may wish to begin with chapters seven and eight which deal with the analysis of the facts about the evolution of human consciousness and which treat a plethora of evidential opinions by other distinguish scientists and noble laureates. After a read of this text, you can be assured that you will have had an occasion to acquire a most enlightening new point of view on the matter of human evolutionary origins.
