Crystal Liquid Gas Phase Transitions and Thermodynamic Similarity
Vladimir P. Skripov, Mars Z. Faizullin, “Crystal-Liquid-Gas Phase Transitions and Thermodynamic Similarity”
Wiley-VCH (March 31, 2006) | ISBN-10: 3527405763 | 183 pages | PDF | 1,3 Mb
Professor Skripov obtained worldwide recognition with his monograph "Metastable liquids", published in English by Wiley & Sons.
Based upon this work and another monograph published only in Russia, this book investigates the behavior of melting line and the properties of the coexisting crystal and liquid phase of simple substances across a wide range of pressures, including metastable states of the coexisting phases. The authors derive new relations for the thermodynamic similarity for liquid-vapour phase transition, as well as describing solid-liquid, liquid-vapor and liquid-liquid phase transitions for binary systems employing the novel methodology of thermodynamic similarity.
From the Back Cover
This monograph investigates the properties of crystal, liquid and gas phases of substances, and also metastable states. New relations for the thermodynamic similarity for liquid-vapour phase transitions are derived, and the authors describe solid-liquid, liquid-vapour and liquid-liquid phase transitions for binary systems employing the methodology of thermodynamic similarity.
Prof. Skripov received acknowledgement worldwide through his monograph on metastable liquids, published by Wiley & Sons. For over fifty years now he has been working in the field of thermodynamics of liquids and vapours, wherein he is an outstanding expert.
