Bloodhound is a 10-issue limited series from DC published from September 2004 to June 2005.It tells the story of former policeman Travis Clevenger - aka Bloodhound - who is in the third year of a 20-year prison sentence for brutally killing his partner.His gift for profiling super-criminals however leads the F.B.I. to offer him a chance at freedom if he'll help them track down a super-powered serial killer. DC gave it no build-up, no advanced publicity, and a surprising lack of marketing, yet writer Dan Jolley created a very well-developed character who has no superhero powers in a setting tied to the DC Universe, and presented in a tale that has a gritty, true-to-life feel.It surprised a lot of people, was very well-received by critics and developed quite a following.
