D. Richter, and concerns the efforts of the multi-talented Dr. Buckaroo Banzai (played by Peter Weller), a physicist, neurosurgeon, Samurai, rock musician, Jet Car driver, and comic book hero, to save the world by defeating a band of inter-dimensional aliens called Red Lectroids from Planet 10. Moonstone has been publishing Buckaroo Banzai comic books that continue plotlines left unexplored in the movie, since 2006. This two-issue miniseries entitled "Hardest of the Hard", with part 1 released October 7, 2009 is the latest.
